Regional Vice President of Sales

Job Description:

The Regional Vice President of Sales will be assigned marketing-generated leads while also having a strong track record of success in new business development. This person will have experience selling into the C-Suite and other senior levels of sales within enterprise organizations. It is highly preferable that this person has had prior success selling solutions around sales training, sales consulting, sales performance, and other related areas.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Be a hunter focused on brand new business development and generate new client relationships
  • Work the marketing-generated leads to move them through the sales pipeline to customer
  • Cultivate the greenfield enterprise market for Janek that has been the responsibility of the Managing Partners in the past
  • Work creatively with the Managing Partners to close business
  • Act as the account manager to develop and manage the client relationships of new logos that are brought in
  • Inherit some existing accounts to manage and grow
  • Ramp up to meet/exceed annual sales quotas
  • Initially focus on new business development and gradually take on more of a farming role as the enterprise book of business is built up

Required Experience / Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience selling sales training and / or sales performance solutions
  • A hunter, someone who has a track record of bringing in new business
  • Experience managing and growing existing accounts
  • Proven networking and prospecting abilities
  • Experience selling to the senior-level executives
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong influencing skills and the ability to encourage a decision to purchase
  • Ability to develop a comprehensive knowledge of products and potential sales applications
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas
  • A self-starter with high energy
  • Well versed in CRM applications (Salesforce or equivalent) and Microsoft Office software including; Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook, as well as experience with online meeting presentation software such as Teams, Webex or GoToMeeting
  • Experience with marketing automation platform such as Hubspot is a plus
